I went in a scarf exhibition in Geelong Australia. It was the first time I had put work in an overseas exhibition and there were a few logistical matters to overcome. Mostly to do with payments and where the unsold scarves got returned to. I wondered whether it was worth it and was having second thoughts. But I had woven the scarves and decided to give it a go.
To my surprise I was awarded a ‘Highly Commended’ in the category ‘Best use of Colours in a Scarf’ and am feeling quite pleased with myself.

The scarf has overtwist black wool in the weft and alternates with tencel in the warp. The colours of the tencel are soft pinks and teals.
